Montreal Canadiens vs Carolina Hurricanes
The Canadiens, who are currently at the bottom of the Atlantic Division with a record of 23 wins and 27 losses, are heading into this game with a bit of momentum after winning their last 3 games. Nevertheless, they are among the worst teams in the NHL this season. Their offensive output has been lacklustre, only averaging 2.67 goals per game as their defence tends to allow 3.59 goals per match, something that they have to improve if they want to go up in their division.
On the other side of the ice, the Hurricanes are on a roll with a record of 35 wins and 10 losses and have won 8 of their last 10 games, placing them at the top of the Metropolitan Division. The team has been thriving this season, with their offence shining and averaging 3.30 goals per game. Their defence has also been playing an integral role in their success, only allowing an average of 2.68 goals per game.
This will be the first time that these two are going to face each other this season.

How the game will play out
It’s a tough choice to predict who will win this match. While the Canadiens have been showing signs of improvement, the Hurricanes have been the stronger team this season so I have to pick them to win this match.
Winnipeg Jets vs Columbus Blue Jackets
The Jets have been on a roll lately, with a record of 34 wins and 19 losses they are in second place in the Central Division. The team’s offence has been firing on all cylinders, scoring an average of 3.19 goals per game. Their defence has also been rock solid, with a stingy average of only 2.59 goals allowed per game. They are coming into this match after winning 3 times in a row against strong teams.
In contrast, the Blue Jackets have been struggling all season long with a dismal record of 16 wins and 34 losses, they are without a doubt among the worst teams in the NHL right now having only secured 3 wins in their last 10 matches. They are at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. They tend to score only 2.52 goals per game and their defence hasn’t fared any better, allowing an average of 3.81 goals per game.
Despite their rough season, the Blue Jackets did manage to come out on top in their first encounter with the Jets, winning 4-1.

How the game will play out
It´s not hard to predict the outcome of this match, at least in my opinion. The Jets are playing so well right now that I must go with them in this one.
My pick: The Winnipeg Jets puck line of -1.5 at (+132) Sports Interaction.
Detroit Red Wings vs Calgary Flames
The Red Wings are currently sitting in 6th place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 25 wins and 20 losses. Although they’ve been struggling on defence, allowing an average of 3.19 goals per game, their offence has been picking up the slack with an average of 3.06 goals per game. Nevertheless, they tend to be very inconsistent throughout the season.
Their opponents, the Flames, are currently in 5th place in the Pacific Division with a record of 25 wins and 18 losses. However, they’ve only managed to secure 4 wins in their last 10 games. On the bright side, their offence has been performing well, averaging 3.17 goals per game. But like the Red Wings, their defence has been struggling, allowing an average of 3.00 goals per game.
This is the second time that these two teams will be facing each other, with the Red Wings taking the win in their previous encounter.
