There have been some great games these past few days and a few surprises. The biggest surprise was the Jets beating the current Stanley Cup champions 5-0. Another was the Sharks beating the Montreal Canadiens by a large margin. In this NHL Picks: Oilers vs Wild, Canadiens vs Flames, and Panthers vs Canucks article, I’ll go through each game, give my breakdown of what to expect, offer my pick, and share a selection of the best odds.

Edmonton Oilers vs Minnesota Wild
The Oilers against the Wild is going to be very interesting to watch. The Oilers are coming into this game on a three-game winning streak. They are currently in fourth place in the Pacific Division. I believe they have what it takes to finish in the top 3. With players like McDavid, Draisaitl and Hopkins, I really think it would be a massive failure if they can’t make the playoffs.
The Minnesota Wild are also in fourth place in the Central Division and even though they lost 2 of their last 5 games, I was very impressed with their 6-1 victory against the Jets. I’m also very impressed with Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello. I think these two players have been astonishing in this team this season.

How the game will play out
This will be the first time that these teams face each other, so it“s going to be interesting to see how this game will play out. I would go with the Oilers because I believe they tend to be more consistent than the Minnesota wild.
My pick: The Edmonton Oilers Moneyline bet of +134 with Betsafe.
Montreal Canadiens vs Calgary Flames
I’m curious to see how the Montreal Canadiens, who lost to the Sharks earlier in the week, will respond against the Flames, who are also struggling. I would love to see the Canadians finish in the top 3, but I don’t think that will happen. They are currently in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with an 11-10 record. They have a few interesting players like Suzuki, K. Dach, and C. Caufield who can help them in achieving a playoff spot.
Regarding the Flames, they have a 10-9 record, which puts them in fifth place in the Pacific Division. With players like Toffoli, R. Andersson and N. Kadri, I think that they should do way better than they are doing right now. They come into this game off the back of a victory against the Panthers and it will be interesting to see how they play against this Montreal team who sometimes tends to struggle.

How the game will play out
The Flames are playing at home, so I believe they should win this game. The Canadiens are a formidable opponent, but I still think the Flames can win.
My pick: The Calgary Flames Moneyline bet of -303 with BetDukes.
Florida Panthers vs Vancouver Canucks
The Panthers against the Canucks is also a game that I don’t want to miss. The Panthers are struggling right now, on a three-game losing streak. They will have to win this one if they want to continue fighting for a playoff spot. They are in 5th place in the Atlantic Division with a 10-9 record and I believe that they can play way better than they are right now. They have players like Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk who can really make a difference. I must say that I was very impressed when they beat the Boston Bruins, so they can have moments of quality, but they need to be more consistent.
On the other hand, the Canucks are coming into this game off a loss against the Capitals. They have improved in their last few games, even beating strong teams like the Golden Knights, the Sharks, and the Colorado Avalanche. They are in sixth place in the Pacific Division with more losses than wins.

How the game will play out
This is a hard one to call since both teams are inconsistent. I would go with the Panthers because they really have to win this game if they want to keep fighting for a playoff spot.
My pick: The Florida Panthers Moneyline bet of -133 with Betsafe.
